Project background
An out-of-state retail installation in Oregon
TravisMathew's Washington Square store is on Level 1 of the shopping center (Washington Square directory).
The store is in Oregon, and Precision installed the millwork with our crew from Southern California. Retail tenants open stores across many states, and general contractors and fixture manufacturers can bring us to the job rather than finding a new installer in each market.
Scope of installation
Retail millwork we installed
- Storefront cladding: black horizontal wood cladding across the roughly 30-foot storefront, above the glazing and around the illuminated sign.
- Entrance surround: the black wood surround framing the full-height glass entrance doors.
- Window display platforms: light wood platforms behind the storefront glass on both sides of the entrance.
- Interior cladding: the same black horizontal cladding at the entry and around the lit cap display.
- Wall displays and shelving: light wood shelves and garment displays along the sales-floor walls, and the black footwear wall.
- Store fixtures: the white merchandise tables and display fixtures on the sales floor.

Installing the black wood storefront and entrance surround
The storefront is the store's face to the mall concourse. Black horizontal wood boards run the full width of the opening, carry the illuminated TravisMathew sign, and wrap the returns at each end. Below them, the wood surround frames the full-height storefront glass and the glass entrance doors.
The cladding meets the glass, the sign and the mall's tile at eye level, where every shopper walks past it. Inside the doors, the same black boards continue at the entry and around the lit cap display, so the storefront material carries into the store.
